Reading ppl's comments on Mctabby's Summary Executions is almost as hilarious as reading the summaries themselves. The newest comment to I don't know what this is about, read it, cos I'm pretty: "Draco! Stop posting over here, get back to Nocturne Alley!"

*smirk*

Wow, it's been a long time since I updated huh. Well, been pretty busy with school work... to tell the truth, I'm starting to find it kinda fun (shh... don't let voice-in-my-head no. 367 hear that). There's the usual essays n research n stupid project work, but there's interesting stuff too, like interviewing ppl for Basic Media Writing and oral history reports. Though I think I need some lessons in compulsive note-taking from you, Chris - I can barely read what I've scribbled. And they're all very disjointed notes too.

Couldn't watch Down With Love with the hobbits yesterday because I had piano lesson in the evening and Orchard is too far away from my teacher's house *mopes* (And that stupid &$^%#^* mutt of hers bit me again *scowls and wishes dearly for Faol's broadsword* If that dog hadn't belonged to her, I'd have skinned and gutted it and left it hanging upside down on a tree - still alive.) Anyway I had to interview Wee Keat for my assignment that afternoon... Thanks again for taking the time to answer all my questions even though you were so busy with your own homework, Wee Keat! *grin*

I believe I once asked why night is said to fall.

One of the best things about living in NTU is the sunsets. Sometimes I stand at the stairwell for a good 2 hours, just watching the sun hiding slowly behind the hill in the distance. Watching the sky spliting horizontally into layers - the lightest, purest gold where the sun is, and a deep dark blue descending upon it that will eventually turn purple-ish black. Two halves that never mix, the falling darkness cushioned by the gold 'til the light is compressed into a thin stream like an aura around the hills, and the streetlights flicker on.

If this life is all I'm going to have and this world is all there is, then I want to spend every last moment in awe at the beauty of the world.

Found the trailer for Love Actually! *grin* Alan Rickman in glasses *laughs* Reminds me of when he was in The Search for John Gissing. But it's such a Hugh Grant and Colin Firth centred show... *sigh* (but not Hugh Grant and Colin Firth together!) AR only got a little bit of screen time...

Am feeling kinda... strange. My brain feels like it's gone bonkers... eaten up by piranhas, probably... *hums "Going Bananas" from Dick Tracy OST*

Haven't been able to post or even go online for a while because the NTU server is down with a virus *scowls*

Have discovered that when it rains in NTU at night, there'll be a misty foggy thing after the rain stops. Rather pretty really. Am singing some strange song about trees and another about bridges for choir ^^|| Also realised that I'm in 2nd alto (which is the lowest female range) and according to this personality test we did during class I belong to the masculine sex type. *suspicious look at Faol*

Anyway...went to ChinaBlack last night for the faculty bash... am super tired now... so sleepy. I didn't dare to sleep after I got back to NTU in case I couldn't wake up in time for my lecture in the morning, so I ended up going for supper with Caroline, Kailing, Fred, Yihui amd Weimin. (Note to self: Fred's definition of "not very far away" is very subjective.) Then I went over to Yihui's room to help her with her campaign stuff until morning. And now my caffeine fix in the wee hours of the morning has worn off a little too quickly...hm...maybe I should have drunk tea instead. Or possibly shouldn't have drunk that glass of bourbon coke and other sips of misc concoctions (although the vodka ribena was quite interesting ^^). Bloody hell, still have one more 2 hour tutorial to go... zzZZ

Went to Chris's house yesterday for a major movie marathon with Claire and Ann *grin* Thanks for having us over, Chris! We watched CoS and went looking for deleted scenes in both the HP DVDs (and managed to convert Claire to the Potter fandom! muah hahahahaha *cheers and congratulates Claire on her good taste* =P) and Moulin Rouge. Must say I've never watched Moulin Rouge... nice songs though, and Ewan McGregor has got a nice voice =) Then after Claire and Ann left, me n Chris watched Truly Madly Deeply *glee* Alan Rickman playing the cello and singing and reading Spanish poetry... which of course left the two of us in a blissful daze.

In other news, I passed my Grade 7 piano exam! Go me! Of course I only passed it by 9 marks, but what the hell... Probably because I failed my sight-reading or something. But my teacher said I got a distinction for one of my pieces... the one that I thought was absolute crap *laughs* Good enough for me. And I also passed the 2nd round of choir auditions ^^

What movie Do you Belong in?(many different outcomes!)

"Many different outcomes"?! Of course you've got to have different outcomes, abysmal idiot! Otherwise what, many same outcomes?

"Love takes off masks that we fear we
cannot live without and know we cannot live
within."

You love the thought of Snape and Harry using one another as a means of escaping the coldness of reality in a few minutes of warmth. Though it is usually an unconcious decision, when your boys fall in love all of the masks come off. Your favourite stories most probably include a lot of angst, confusion, and sex. Wahoo!

*snickering like mad*

Just read the newest Summary Executions from mctabby... Hey I didn't know Snape was a veela! Explains the legions of screaming fangirls despite the greasy hair and caustic personality though. Other wonderful plot lines include Barney the purple dinosaur as some minion of Voldemort (or perhaps the Dark Lord himself! gasp!) and some incomprehensible summaries. But the best one of the lot..."Rated PG-13 because it gives you slight suicidal tendancies, I'm afraid." Hey you ought to rate your summary too you know, it's a health hazard. I'm dying of laughter over here.

Yanting from AHS is in NTU photog too! *glee* We were running against each other for darkroom chairperson, which felt really strange because basically she and Yingzhi taught me most of what I know about darkroom ^^|| Neither of us got it... went to this French exchange student with a really impressive portfolio =) His photos were so awe-inspiring! (And he was the only one out of the four of us running who had photos to show, at any rate. even though all of us were doing impromptu rally speeches.) Plus he was telling us how he studied under a famous photographer in Paris... so cool. But I 'ave ze feeling zats I whel 'ave za problam catching hiz akccent. *big sweatdrop*

Which Buffy Musical Song Are You?

Was actually feeling kinda crappy and stressed today... Extra credit stuff from 4.30 to 5pm, Photography club AGM from 5.30 to 10.30pm (who the hell holds five hour meetings?!), choir audition all the way over at Nanyang House from 9 to 9.30pm (seeing the problem here?) and JCRC Polling Day 8.30 to 10.30pm. Plus essays to write, readings to read, research and projects that are due soon... Basically I need more of me. A lot more. Was stressing over how to be in time for everything and yet skip as little of the AGM as possible and still manage to take into account that the bloody shuttle bus ceases servicing at 9pm and the SBS bus takes only about half a million years.

But am now feeling slightly better after laughing over the entries in Chris's LJ ^^ Laughter is the best medicine after all... though not a particularly long-lasting one. *sigh* Can't wait for the weekend...

Virgo
You should be dating a Virgo. (23 August - 22 September)
This mate is known for his/her ability to work with the helpless, to evoke strong feelings of empathy and to keep a household strictly organized. Though the virgin can sometimes be scathingly critical of others, cranky and irritable, he/she will seduce their partner with finesse, charm and subtlety.

Absolutely hilarious fact of the day: Someone said Harry Potter is divine because Isaiah 64:7 states: "But now, O Lord, you are our Father; We are the clay, and You are the Potter."

Trying to finish my readings so I'll have the weekend off and won't have to lug all my texts back home over the weekend. Also, Jap Appreciation Club welcome tea today... Free dinner again! Yay! (For some reason things like these become important when you realise how expensive hostel living is... ^^||) Also, blogger went crazy and ate up my page, at least on the NTU server... *narrowed eyes*

Watched "Lost In Yonkers" on Friday night, a production by SCI's Paparazzi. Quite good... the funny bits were done well, and Yew Meng, playing Arty, was amusing and very convincing as a 13-year-old (even I don't know whether I meant that as a compliment or a gibe)... I saw Yixin (a.k.a. Miss What's-my-name-and-what's-her-name?), who was acting as stern and steely old Grandma, trying very hard not to laugh ^^; Aaron's Jay was also rather endearing as the more straight-laced sibling always getting sabo-ed and coming up with the loopy ideas like running off with their mobster uncle and yet being very protective and loyal.

Transition between scenes were well done, sound, lighting and costume and props were ok... I haven't read the play, but I have a feeling some lines had been meddled with... hm. Aunt Gert and Uncle Louie also seemed to be very cameo sort of roles, with not much opportunity to be fleshed out as a real character unlike the 2 boys, Aunt Bella and Grandma. Some slips in the dialogue, though not major and possibly 1st night jitters. But overall effect was still ok, and very enjoyable =)

The rest of my weekend was spent trying to wade through 4 chapters of the promo comm textbook, which was so immensely boring and wordy and econs-y that I would have fallen asleep if not for the pictures. And I still have 2 essays to write and heck of a lot of General Meetings and auditions and crap like that which all seem to happen on Thursday, and an inter-wing billard competition which is silly because I have no clue which form of billard they're playing and I've only played snooker once in my entire life. Bloody hell.

Btw... Hobbits, is our stayover next Friday confirmed? And Chris and Ann haven't updated their blogs in ages!
